One of the ongoing topics surrounding the French national team in recent weeks has been the responses of a number of their players to the ongoing political landscape in their country. Notably, Kylian Mbappe and Jules Kounde have spoken out against the far right – specifically, the National Assembly (RN) party, headed up by Marine Le Pen.
The New Popular Front (NFP) party won the recent French elections, and this result was met with joy among Les Bleus’ camp. One of those to react positively was Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni, who called the result “the victory of the people”.
In response to that remark, Tchouameni received a barrage of abuse, with a significant portion coming from Real Madrid supporters – some of whom called for him to leave the club.
In the past, footballers have often refrained from speaking publicly on politics, and this case involving Tchouameni is perhaps a reason why.

He is an individual who would've suffered if the right extremists of le pen have won thus his rejoice over the win of the coalition of Jean Luc Melenchon is a normal thing ! Infact his comments should be admired because that's a call for France to be united against Extremists
How would he have suffered ?

The RN is a far right party with racist policies especially against the blacks in France. So it is encouraging news to hear that their rivals won the elections.
Far right doesn't make a Party racist but in this case RN is VERY racist against the blacks.

You are very ignorant if you think being a far right and a patriot makes you a racist. Obama was far worse

I don't follow world politics much, does this mean that Macron sth , French president, is out? I just remember him from the WC 2022 supporting France in the final vs Argentina. He seemed passionate abt France /team.
