Aussie football identity Mark Bosnich has declared it will be 'extremely harsh' if Tottenham part ways with Ange Postecoglou.
'Aussie Ange' has guided Spurs to the semi-finals of the Europa League - but it is their woeful form domestically which has him seemingly on borrowed time in north London.
For a club of Tottenham's size, to be sitting in 16th spot in the Premier League after 33 games is unacceptable.
Postecoglou's attacking mindset has been entertaining, but he knows as well as anyone it is results which count.
Speaking on SEN Radio, Bosnich is adamant Postecoglou should remain in charge.
'Sometimes the rumours are actually put out by the clubs themselves to give the manager and team a kick up the pants,' the former Aston Villa, Manchester United and Chelsea goalkeeper said.
'It has been a poor season no doubt about that....18 defeats for a team of Tottenham's stature is not good enough.
'But I will say this to all Spurs fans....forget about the (Premier) League right now. You are not going to get relegated.
'And in terms of Ange, if he's going to go down, he's going to go down fighting. I think sacking him would be extremely harsh (even if they win the Europa League).
'I can understand the hurt and disappointment, but they have just got to stick with it until the end of the season.'
Bosnich also pointed out if Spurs win the Europa League it ensures a spot in the Champions League next season, which is 'big biccies' for the club.
Meanwhile, the likes of Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola and Fulham’s Marco Silva have been touted as possible replacements for Postecoglou.
Scott Parker, who guided Burnley to promotion from the Championship, also has admirers within the club.
Parker played for Spurs, was well-liked by supporters and also coached within the club’s academy set-up.
Tottenham are next in action on May 28, when the tackle Liverpool at Anfield.
A win for the hosts will seal the Premier League title for the Reds - and heap more misery on Postecoglou.

harsh, the man knows nothing about the defensive play, it's great going forward and scoring but it means nothing if you can't defend the game and the lead you have, sad you have to shut the game down.

Ange is good only to much injuries and some players are lazy to play
We really need the Europa! Will give Ange and the team a good boost going into next season and hopefully we can make some signings so we have enough cover over the pitch given our injury record. Long stretch!

Sacking Ange is not the solution, look at Nuno at Forest after Spurs
It is Ange is one trick pony but that only works if he has best players look at celts he had best players in the league but in European football they were crap n got found out same as spurs getting found out in the prem league too many good teams with different tactics we have one n its ohh we played good football but still lost I would rather win one nil n be boring that try to win 6-5 each week as Solanke Johnson ododbert son tel richy aren’t good enough all have been relegated apart from tel n son all have went down as why they r relegation players only team to be in for Johnson n Solanke only clubs forest n Bournemouth wouldnt off sold if they were key players both have signed better since we took a year to replace kane with noncelanke a championship level striker wake the f up spurs fans stop being treated like mugs n boycott everyting spurs only way to get levy out club he’s not going anyplace singing gimpy songs if u cant boycott shit the hell up about it

Ange is nothing. Every PL club is walking over Tottenham. He is too weak. Look at what other coaches like Guadiola, Arteta or even Frank Thomas motivates players in a game

this guy should be supported. Tottenham players are just some kind of lazy goose. this coach started on good note. Tottenham changed too many good coaches and a very short year span. the team needs a change of mind.
