Cesar Azpilicueta hit out at VAR after Chelsea saw two goals disallowed as they slipped to defeat by Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
Anthony Martial headed the visitors in front just before the break with Harry Maguire sealing the victory in the second half, but Zouma had an equalising goal chalked off for a perceived foul by Azpilicueta on Brandon Williams and 10 minutes before the end Olivier Giroud was ruled out for offside.
The Chelsea skipper was left incensed by the decision and questioned why referee Anthony Taylor did not consult his pitchside monitor.
Azpilicueta: 'With VAR, what disappoints me is the big decisions are taken by a referee in a monitor. The refs should go to the monitor to take the decisions.
'The goal by Zouma, I have to push Willian, but Fred pushed me so i can’t do anything else. The referees on the pitch didn’t see anything.
'At least go to the monitor, 30 seconds for the right decision. The referee on the pitch has to be the one to take the decisions.'
In the Sky Sports studio, Jamie Carragher added: 'I don’t think there’s too much in the push on Azpilicueta.
'A slight nudge. If the Williams one doesn’t happen, i don’t think the Fred nudge is a penalty.
'And he does knock him off his feet, two hands on his back.'

Chelsea just couldn't capitalize on their chances. Azpilicueta is playing in the wrong position. Giroud is not being given a chance, Pulisic is also not available and Lampard has no innovative ideas. He has dropped Kepa for a little out of form performances and Chelsea will slowly finish about the eighth position in the Premier League.

#mufc had won three times at Chelsea this century until Solskjaer showed up. Now won their last three at Stamford Bridge in three different competitions. Lampard is Solskjaer's patsy

Some fans keep saying it's the coach, but if u look closely it's actually the Senior players. They aren't stepping up! They not taking leadership responsibilities in the team but rather letting the young players take all the burden & blame when we drop vital points. Sure Lampard makes mistakes at times, but we all expected that from a very young manager (even Pep had a tough start). They are our biggest problem aside from CFC Board. Conte & Sarri both highlighted it! And that's to be expected from a team that relys more on a few young players when there are more experienced players in the squad. We need better players with much experience! We need 2 or 3 experienced players this summer to stabilize the team, then we we'll know if these young players are good enough to play for Chelsea!
