Benjamin Mendy found his way back into the Manchester City starting line-up for the impressive 4-1 win over Dinamo Zagreb on Wednesday night but will he retain his spot for the clash at Arsenal?

Mendy was left out for the crucial 2-1 defeat at home to Manchester United last Saturday as he sat out another big match, something which has been a regular occurrence this season after returning from injury.

But will anything change after the solid outing in the Champions League ahead of Arsenal on Sunday in the Premier League? BT Sport pundits Joleen Lescott and Owen Hargreaves have had their say and explained what they believe Guardiola will do.

"Defensively at the start I think he (Mendy) could have engaged a bit closer for the first goal," former Man City star Lescott told BT Sport.

"Overall I think that was a performance that he needed for his confidence going forward. He put some great balls in and hopefully he can carry that forward. I think Pep will start Zinchenko at the weekend, though."

Former Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves added: "He has got the talent to claim that left-back role but Pep didn't start Mendy at Anfield or in the derby so I can't see him playing against Arsenal. If Zinchenko is fit enough, I could see him going straight back in there."
