Despite Keylor Navas currently being Paris Saint-Germain's undisputed starter in goal, Mauricio Pochettino is aiming to bring Hugo Lloris to the French side this summer.
Pochettino and Lloris worked together at Tottenham Hotspur, where the two men reportedly came to become close friends off the pitch too.
According to Football Insider, Pochettino has asked PSG to sign the France international in summer, with the Spurs goalkeeper's current deal running until 2022.
The 35-year-old shot-stopper has been recently criticised for his performances at Tottenham, who he joined in 2012 from Lyon.
"I have not felt Lloris has been that safe for probably about four or five months if I am honest," Glenn Hoddle told the Evening Standard.
"I think he is on the back foot, his intent is not there to take crosses, for me he looks like he is doubting himself a little bit.
"I really do believe that long-term Spurs need to replace him at some stage, and sooner than most people would imagine.
"But dropping him? I am not sure we have got the cover there at the moment. Joe Hart comes in for Europa League games, but I am not sure is ready to play back-to-back games."
