Finally, after what seemed like an age, Gareth Bale appeared.
Real Madrid needed a big performance from him and the Welshman got himself on the score sheet in Plzen to send Los Blancos in at the break 4-0 up.
Questioned in recent weeks, Bale broke a streak that went back to September 19 when Real beat Roma 3-0 at home.
Since then, seven full games, the winger hasn't looked like finding the back of the net.
One of Solari's priorities was to recover Bale's best version, particularly in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo's departure.
It's taken 532 minutes since he last registered, but perhaps now, Bale and Real Madrid can smile again.
