The bold approach deployed by the Premier League newcomers can help them 'win more games than lose', says the defender

Cardiff City defender Sol Bamba has taken positives from their awful start to the 2018-19 English Premier League season.

Neil Warnock’s men are still searching for their first win since they gained promotion to the top-flight having only secured two points from five games this term.

On Saturday, the Cote d'Ivoire international got the curtain raiser for the Bluebirds before they succumbed 4-1 to an Eden Hazard-inspired Chelsea.

However, the 33-year-old is confident that the Welsh outfit can win more games provided they sustain their attacking style of play.

“People expect us to park the bus, if I can call it that. We didn't. We tried to play good football and go forward and score a few goals," Bamba told BBC Sport.

"That's a positive thing to take from the last few games. On the other hand, I think we've got to do better at the back."

"If we play like that through the season, I think we're going to win more games than lose.”

Cardiff City play host to Manchester City in their next league game and the defender is hoping they can secure a decent result in the outing.

"There's no easy game in the Premier League, is there?" he continued.

"Playing the top six is always difficult, but we're enjoying it - that's why we're here and we're going to try to do our best against any team."
