Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic could be hit with a two-match ban following his shameful antics at Huddersfield on Friday night.

Mitrovic opened the scoring with a header in the 51st minute as the visitors claimed their second successive victory in the Championship.

But the controversial striker was at the centre of a fresh storm for his theatrics in the final stages of the match at John Smith's Stadium.

Mitrovic was shielding the ball from two Huddersfield defenders near the corner flag.

Mitrovic was bundled over by Rajiv van La Parra and as both men lay on the ground, the latter moved his arm towards the face of the Serbian.

However despite their being no contact, Mitrovic began rolling round the floor with his hands covering his face.

Mitrovic has been widely condemned on social media, with fans calling for him to be banned for simulation like Patrick Bamford and Dwight Gayle

'Absolutely shameless from Mitrovic, no contact and rolling around,' one said.

A second fan added 'Shouldn’t Mitrovic get a two game ban for this like Bamford and Gayle did?'

Another said: 'Mitrovic amateur dramatics for Fulham at Huddersfield an absolute embarrassment. Just awful play acting.'
