Barca B keep promotion dream alive with comeback win against Levante

Barcelona B came from 2-1 down to beat Atletico Levante 3-2 on Saturday and keep their playoff hopes alive.

Garcia Pimienta's side's season looked over a few weeks ago when they lost to Espanyol B but they have refound their form in recent weeks and are back in the promotion push.

Fourth place (the final playoff spot) is occupied by Cornella and Barça are now just two points behind them, although they have played a game more.

Barça didn't have things their own way against Levante. They faced an uphill battle from the start with regulars Riqui Puig, Wague and Abel Ruiz with the first team in Huesca.

However, Barça started well and took the lead when the impressive Alex Collado set up Rafa Mujica to open the scoring.

But there were a lot of twists and turns ahead. Leavante levelled through Joan Monterde soon after and then edged ahead when Cantero headed home Arturo Molina's cross.

But Barça were level by the break when Carles Perez, recently back from an injury, found the back of the net.

They went on to win the game 10 minutes from time when Merveil latched on to the end of a cross from Miranda to seal the three points and move Barça up to fifth in the table.
