Lucas Moura came to Tottenham's rescue with a late equaliser to secure a dramatic 1-1 draw at Barcelona which sent them through to the Champions League last 16 at the expense of Inter.

Tottenham are into the Champions League knockout phase thanks to Lucas Moura's late equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Barcelona on Tuesday.
Mauricio Pochettino's men needed to at least match Inter's result at home to PSV and they looked to be heading into the Europa League, but Lucas struck five minutes from time to turn the situation on its head and send Spurs through as Group B's other match also ended 1-1.
In a week which he has been accused of turning up late to training, Ousmane Dembele seemed switched on earlier than anyone else with his seventh-minute opener.
Spurs crafted a host of chances after the break and, just when it looked as though they were never going to find a way past Jasper Cillessen, Lucas – a 71st-minute replacement for Son Heung-min – found the net to complete a great escape.

Spurs have no shape in their game but somehow they use that unorthodox play to their advantage. Somehow they played toe to toe with Barca despite the first half being dominated by Barca. Dembele ended Rose's career and Lucas scored a well deserved goal for a side which he's honestly too good for as are Eriksen, Son, Alderwierald and Kane and no doubt these players will eventually leave after being trophyless for years. Eriksen to Madrid, Kane to Barca, Alderweirald to United, Son idk and Lucas will spend a season or 2 before leaving. Even Poch will be gone. As a club, Spurs don't back the manager and also force him to mix average and world class players together which cost them so many times.... Barca on the other hand could have put this game to bed if Fraudverde started Messi instead of saving him for the La Liga which he's gonna win with that squad anyway... With home advantage Barca would have put the game to bed but too many risky moves but I guess that happens when you're already through...

MOTM: Cillessen. Dude was amazing and had some unreal saves. That save on Moura's header (albeit he didn't hit it THAT well) off the line was godly. We're so ridiculously lucky to have 2 GK's that play this well. I wish we would kept a clean sheet because I feel like he deserved it.

Hard fought draw for Spurs. Coutinho, Miranda and sometimes Semedo were a liability to us. I want to see Jasper get more game time, he is fantastic. With 7 changes made, I think did good overall. Great to see Aleñá and Miranda getting debut and others getting some game time. Vermealen was awesome today and Authur. Now we set our mind the game Sunday and to continue our winning streak to stay on top of La Liga. Visça El barça 🔴🔵💪

Tottenham completed passes from the defenders straight to the forwards. This should not be happening, especially with Busquets on the pitch. A lot of dangerous plays were created this way and Barcelona should work on this. Against a tougher opponent, Barca would’ve given up more goals and although that was not the starting line-up, it’s something that also happens to them.
