Barcelona VP: There are 11,569 members on the season ticket waiting list

Barcelona vice-president Jordi Cardoner has revealed figures that show the increasing interest in the club despite the disappointing end to the season.

Ernesto Valverde's side were dumped out of the Champions League by Liverpool and beaten to the Copa del Rey by Valencia after securing the LaLiga Santander title.

"Barcelona have 141,640 members, 73 percent of which are men. If we refer to the distribution by location, 92.4 percent live in Catalonia," Cardoner said.

"There have been 325,000 interactions this season. There are 61 people who work in the offices that have attended to, among other things, 164,231 calls.

"2,766 season tickets have been allocated since 2011, 405 were allocated for the 2018/19 campaign.

"There are still 11,569 members on the [season ticket] waiting list."

Attendances for Barcelona at the Camp Nou have fallen in recent years but Cardoner has revealed that crowd numbers grew during the 2018/19 season.

"Attendances have gone up by eight percent from 71,180 to 76,977," he said. "We had a crowd of over 90,000 for eight matches

"Attendances from members has increased by 7.5 percent. We were are the club with the highest attendances of children going free in Europe, the average is 3,500 per match. Barcelona are a family club."

Cardoner also revealed the prices of season tickets for the 2019/20 campaign.

"The club is keeping to the same price [as last season]. The cheapest season ticket is 140 euros," he continued.

"In comparison, Real Madrid's cheapest season ticket is 245 euros, Manchester United's is 601 euros and Juventus' is 650 euros.
