Arsenal may see the back of striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang before the end of the month as Xavi's Barça recruitment continues apace in LaLiga.
Right now Barcelona have so many transfer doors ajar that it’s almost impossible to predict what starting line-up Xavi Hernández could go with come February. After confirming the signing of Adama Traoré from Wolves — Ferran Torres already part of the set-up — more reinforcements are expected, with much dependent on the outcome of the Ousmane Dembélé case.
If Barça are able to find a exit solution for the French striker, then the search for another forward will be reactivated immediately. And in this sense, two names are being considered at the club.
A. Morata and B. Aubameyang
Plan A is already common knowledge with Juventus striker Álvaro Morata being the chosen one to lead the attack. Xavi wanted him, the player was keen and Juventus’ only request was that they were given enough time to look for a replacement. The latter element has been sorted.
The problem, however, is the player’s parent club, and rival to the Catalans, Atlético Madrid, who do not want a six-month loan agreement. Instead they are looking for a compulsory purchase option, not what Barcelona were aiming for. That said, this deal is by no means over and Morata and his agent, Juanma Lopez, have been in Madrid to try and unravel the obstacles to make the move a reality.
So it’s still possible, but by no means certain. And for this reason, as we at AS have learned, Barça have been working on a Plan B for some time, aware of the difficulties involved in bringing in Morata, as well as some pushback from elements of the club and fans. This back-up plan has a name: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
What Aubameyang can bring to Barça
The Arsenal striker, who is now far from Mikel Arteta's plans, would be a highly valued option within the coaching team at the Camp Nou, who see in the Gabonese player as a potential game changer. The idea would be that he would come on loan until 30 June 2022.
Xavi likes the versatility of the player, who can play both on the wing and through the middle. He has also shown that when on form, has a remarkable knack for scoring goals. He has scored 92 goals in 163 games at Arsenal, while his numbers at Borussia Dortmund were even more remarkable, scoring 141 goals in 213 games.
Aubameyang, now 32, has a reputation as a troublemaker, but Barcelona believe they can get him back firing and leading a talented, but young, squad.
There are only a few days left to make the moves happen before the transfer window closes. And the key to either of these doors being forced open lies in a final decision on Ousmane Dembélé. We’re watching closely.

Pls Barca, xavi and Management board should go for Auba he is perfect fit for barcalona he can play as a winger as well as a fals 9 who has an eye for goal, in my view you can't compare scoring rate of Auba with morata the difference is clear and I urge the board to do this business as quick as possible.

Ousmane Dembélé should leave Barcelona as soon as possible. He his arguably one of the most ungrateful player. Spent more time getting paid for increasing Barcelona health care bills/expenses and doesn't even consider giving back to the club. Although he has great potential, he urgently need to leave with his heavy wage.
Mbappe have given so much to PSG who paid heavily for his service, yet he did everything possible to give them a chance to recover some cash from a possible sale. Dembélé on the other thinks only of himself - how much he can make as a free agent.

Bro don’t behave like Madrid fans who don’t know the reason for the transfers. I’ll explain, if you watch closely, you’ll notice these deals are all loans with optional purchase clause. Only the the real stars we know have time to grow and potential like F. Torres was bought. Even Adama is loan with optional purchase and that’s what’s hindering Morata’s deal atm bcus ATM wants compulsory purchase clause and we don’t. Then again you have to agree with me both Auba and Morata in an upgrade to L De jong and Braithweith
yes bro . these loan deals are good for us now . and our young players need to gain experience

Barca need to focus on young Signings which will be beneficial for the club and matches. Getting players for immediate results is good but you need to more focused for the future. Signing 30+ players is a bad move. Barca have the players which can put them back on top, they need to fill the spots from which they are lacking goals and causing mistakes. It might take one more season but Barca will be back if they get a No.9, Defender, Good wingers, and full backs. They have a good midfield. Hope they be back on top.
You are right but I think Aubameyang will just be a loan deal.

If they’ll pay his entire salary then go right ahead.
