Bundesliga side Schalke 04 have confirmed a two-year loan for FC Barcelona defender Juan Miranda.
The Spanish U19 international has been linked with a move for the left back, however German newspaper Bild has now confirmed that a deal has been agreed that will see the 19-year old head to the Veltins Arena for two years.
The report states that no purchase clause has been included in the deal, with FC Barcelona wanting to see how Miranda progresses as a first team player in Germany.
Miranda made four appearances for Ernesto Valverde's side last season, in their Champions League and Copa del Rey campaigns.
Valverde confirmed during the summer that he was in the market for a left back, to provide competition for Jordi Alba, however he has since opted to bring in Junior Firpo from Real Be

Interesting. I see most sites are reporting he's off to Marseille and this is the first Schalke rumor... how reliable is this guy?
He is the best young fullback at Barcelona but he's more defensive than offensive. He's 6.1 feet and a good header. Physically strong, great in tackling. Played well vs Tottenham Last season and dele Alli couldn't get past him

Can he help immediately? We kind of need someone at left back who can play right now. If he needs half a year to get in Bundesliga shape this wouldn’t be a good signing
No man. He's too good, he made his barcelona debut in Champions league group stages last season, he played really well vs Tottenham and kept Alli at bay and played well at San Siro against inter. He is quite the opposite to jordi Alba, unlike Alba, he is tall and 6.1 feet. Alba is more like a wingback and he's a defensive fullback, more like Lucas Hernandez. Jordi Alba isn't physical but he is. He can play as a Left sided CB. Bundesliga will be of great favour to him as bundesliga is more attacking and it will help his attacking work

I don't know anything about him. I guess we won't get an option to buy because Barca wasn't willing to give Marseille one which is why that deal broke down. A loan-deal makes sense to get additional depth on that position. I guess we'll try going for Gosens again next year once he's a free-agent. That would make sense ecnomically and would save us a fee. I would have prefered a more established LB on that loan-deal, though. Then again this mean we'll probably invest more in getting another striker?
Maybe you never watched him play. Hes too good to play with the B team at 3rd division. He played really well vs Tottenham and Inter in Champions league group stage. He deserves a club like Schalke who give Youngsters chance to play

We are slowly turning from FC SChalke to FC YouthAcademy at this point but considering most of our "experienced" player are incompetent last season,i guess i don't mind if our team is full of young hungry players

What are we? Playing in the second league already? Why the hell are we loaning a youth player without an option of making the move permanent?
