Bayern and Milan have officially missed out on Ozak Kabak, as the VfB Stuttgart defender has signed for Schalke 04.
They had been prepared to activate the Turkey international’s €15m release clause.
However, Schalke announced this afternoon that they had purchased the 19-year-old talent.
He has only joined Stuttgart in January from Galatasaray for €11m.

it is good news because Lars Luka and Chris Richards deserves chance.
Giving chances would be loaning them to teams where they would start and get lots of playing time

they should be loaned bro they youngsters like how we loan Alaba and Kroos
other teams are giving youngsters good chance like Jadon Sancho, Julien Wigel, Kai Harvetz and Bayern also trying to get Hudson Odai so why can't Bayern give chance to young academy talents instead of buying youngsters from other clubs.

Kabak has a release clause of 15m. And knows he won't start for Bayern. Plus Milan missed out on CL again and have had issues with FFP, idk how much they have available to spend.
why he wouldn't start and boeteng on the brink of exiting

I really don't know what the other user is on about. Schalke are not swimming in cash.

If they get Kabak for €15m and Raman for €10m basically their entire budget is gone. After that they can only get other players if they manage to offload other players.

I searched a bit about how much they can spend and found this article citing BILD (can't find their original article unfortunately): They say Schalke has a budget of €25m for transfers this summer + what they get through selling players.

Who else are they signing this summer? So far they turned down Lukebakio as he would cost 20m, and they haven't secured Raman yet even though he would not cost much over 10m.

Seriously, as much as I love to see Bayern struggle more and more, it’s also kinda sad. It’s weird that Dortmund could sign players like Hazard and Brandt and Schalke got Kabak. Those would’ve been very decent transfers for Bayern. Next season sure is going to be very interesting!

Real reason was probably guaranteed play time and a buy out clause in his new contract that allows him to leave for a bigger club if he plays well.

Think he’d gain more from Schalke than at Milan. Don’t think he wants to be uprooting again at 19, off learning another language and resettling. He does almost seem destined to end up at Bayern so probably better for him to stay in the Bundesliga. He’d definitely get more minutes at Schalke too.

Definitely insufficient depth to compete in every front

The director who brought him to Stuttgart is now Schalke’s sporting director + their agents were offered a better deal from Schalke. Possibly also a higher wage. We were offering him 1-1.2M yearly

Apparently he wants to stay in Germany. Also we don't know the figures yet, maybe Schalke is paying him more than Milan and Bayern.

The clubs I mentioned are currently just at another level. I think Schalke can come back and play CL again in the near future, just not next season.

well we'll just have to wait and see whether Kabak is a right signing for Schalke.

We offered him €1 million so it was probably Shalke offering more.
