Bayern Munich know they're in for 'A Hard Day's Night' when they visit Liverpool in the Champions League on Tuesday night but that hasn't stopped them getting in the spirit of the occasion.

The German club channelled one of Merseyside's most famous exports, The Beatles, with a funny mock-up of the iconic Abbey Road album cover posted on their Instagram account 'Yesterday'.

Mats Hummels, Thomas Muller, Robert Lewandowski and Manuel Neuer, all wearing Sixties-style hair dos, walked across an imaginary zebra crossing at their training ground.

It was a tribute to The Beatles' famous 1969 album cover which saw John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison walking across a zebra crossing outside Abbey Road Studios in London.

The Bundesliga club branded themselves 'The Bayerns: Come Together' on the post, which received over 250,000 likes on Instagram and plenty of approving comments.

They have also released a t-shirt with the image printed on it, priced at €24.95 (£21.85) to mark the last-16 tie with Liverpool.

Bayern will be no doubt delighted to 'Get Back' to Bavaria with a positive result on Tuesday night and will 'Feel Fine' if they can grab an away goal or two against the in-form Reds.

The German will be backed by plenty of 'Day Tripper' fans with a 'Ticket to Ride' at Anfield but it will something of a 'Magical Mystery Tour' because the two clubs haven't met in the European Cup or Champions League since 1981.

Jurgen Klopp will be saying 'Don't Let Me Down' to his players as they take on a club he was a staunch rival with when he managed Borussia Dortmund.

He may have to 'Let It Be' if it's a negative result and concentrate instead on the 'Long and Winding Road' to the Premier League title with Liverpool 'Here, There and Everywhere' in the coming weeks.

They travel to rivals Manchester United on Sunday before a home game with Watford and the Merseyside derby with Everton, with a trio of wins a great 'Help' in saying 'Hello [or] Goodbye' to a first title since 1990.
