While nothing is official, the Münchner Merkur is reporting that Bayern Munich will play one of its Audi Summer Tour games for the International Champions Cup in Kansas City, Missouri.
FC Bayern Munich will contest one of their matches at the Kansas City Chiefs National Football League (NFL) this summer as part of their trip to the United States. Clark Hunt, owner of the Chiefs said. This year's Super Bowl semifinalist, quarterback Patrick Mahomes, plays in the 76,000-seat capacity Arrowhead Stadium.
The Hunt family is also the owner of the professional football club FC Dallas from North America's Major League Soccer (MLS), with whom the German record champions have a partnership. The MLS club Sporting KC also plays in Kansas City, which was also owned by the Hunts, but was sold to a group of investors in 2006.
For Bayern, it is already the fourth trip to the United States since 2014. The venues and the period will announce the Munich on March 27th.
There has been rampant speculation about which cities withing the United States Bayern would visit this summer after last year's stops in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Miami, Florida.
While many have speculated that Bayern would be linked to a game in Dallas, Texas (given its partnership with FC Dallas), it appears that FC Dallas owner Clark Hunt might have pulled some weight to get the Bavarians to take the pitch at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, where he owns the NFL's Chiefs.
Bavarian Football Works previously confirmed this news via a source close to the situation and Bundesliga.com has subsequently made the news official.
“Bayern are going to play at the Arrowhead Stadium,” Hunt told German daily Bild. “They're a global brand. They position their world stars perfectly to promote the band. I'm really happy.”
The exact details of who Bayern will play will be announced on the club's website, fcbayern.com, on 27 March.

Now imagine if they get Kansas City's own Tech N9ne to perform during Bayern's visit. Him with his white facepaint and red spiky hair, just like Bayern’s colours.

You can get a presale code and buy in the Bayern supporters section. If the demand isn’t high then buying a day or so before the game could save you a lot of money, but you run the risk of being shut out. Bayern v Madrid in NJ a few years ago was sold out. Philly was empty because of the rain last year. You never know.

The tickets are expensive and a lot got eaten up by third-party brokers, but the prices were definitely better when buying directly from the stadium. In retrospect I ended up paying more using the 3rd party site (StubHub). The way it worked in Philly was that there was an early release of tickets if you were on the ICC mailing list as well. Good luck!

The Smiths may head your way We’ll see what the other option is and what the dates are….you will have a blast. As someone who attended Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Philadelphia Union and Bayern vs. Juventus last summer, you will absolutely have a great time.

I agree getting a game is big I am just not certain that working hard to land Bayern Munich in a flyover state is the best strategy. You would think that landing any EPL team is a better draw (sadly). Bayern had real popularity from 2013-2015 but a lot less lately.

Big difference... He doesn’t own AT&T Stadium (in Dallas) and would make far less money if the game is played there. NFL teams are ALWAYS looking for events to host. Think about it. Most NFL stadiums host – at most – 12 games a year (8 regular season, 2 playoffs, 2 preseason), so finding concerts and other events to go on in the venue is huge. Getting an ICC game is big for them.

Kansas City is not a premier location Not too sure abou to he following analysis… "FC Dallas owner Clark Hunt might have pulled some weight to get the Bavarians to take the pitch at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, where he owns the NFL’s Chiefs." The cynic in me thinks he might have gotten Bayern to go to KC so he could bring in a bigger draw to Dallas, larger stadium with a much wealthier fan base. If Bayern’s other game is in Dallas (or a city like LA, NYC, San Francisco, heck, even Atlanta) then I retract this.
