He recently celebrated his 44th birthday with his family during a low-key dinner in London on Thursday.

But it was back to the grind for David Beckham later in the week as he filmed scenes for a TV advert in promotion of his new skincare brand House 99 alongside a excited body double in Dorset.

While he is famed for his signature suave appearances, the former Manchester United ace opted for comfort while on set as he sported a pair of brown buckle sandals, teamed with bright red socks.

David managed to maintain his typically dapper looks as he tied in his cosy footwear with a slick navy suit, featuring a longline blazer and straight-leg trousers.

With his hair styled into a salt and pepper quiff, the father-of-four looked every inch the hunk as he strolled around the location with a series of crew members.

The UNICEF UK ambassador was joined by a beaming body double on set, who bore a striking resemblance to the star with a matching hand tattoo.

Nailing David's biker style, the lookalike donned an edgy leather jacket, a black T-shirt and dark-wash jeans.

He appeared to relish in his role as he tucked into some snacks while engaging in lively conversation with the female staff.

The brand - House 99 - is described as 'a range of high quality grooming products' for 'a community of like-minded men, led by former sportsman David, who are unafraid to change up their look'.

The products use spirulina and quinoa, which are nutrient dense superfoods favoured among celebrity health nuts.

'Rich in nutrients, antioxidants and vitamins - we’ve harnessed their energising propertiesto bolster your hair & beard and smooth & illuminate your skin,' House 99's website boasts.

When the product launched, David shared: 'We spent months testing formulas at the labs and with barbers, picking the perfect ingredients, fine-tuning the brand logo, packaging, and even the products’ names.

'I like to switch things up and know other guys do, too. House 99 was created to support men, to give them the tools they need to create whatever look they are going for. To feel confident in their lives.'

Earlier this week, David kept things simple and low-key as he rang in his 44th birthday with a family meal.

The former footballer was joined by his wife Victoria Beckham and their four children Brooklyn, 20, Romeo, 16, and Cruz, 14, and Harper, seven - as well as his parents, Sandra and David.

David and Victoria are one of the power couples in the showbiz world as they edge nearer the 20-year milestone of marriage later this year.

They were married in a romantic ceremony at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland in July 1999.

It was love at first sight for the footballer who set his heart on the singer after he laid eyes on Posh Spice in a catsuit in Spice Girls' music video Say You'll Be There.

Sparks flew between the pair when Victoria crossed paths with David at a Manchester United match in 1997, two years before they married.

David's day of shooting and birthday meal comes as it was revealed he could face a driving ban after admitting using his phone while driving in London.

The former England captain is set to appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court later this month to learn what punishment he faces after being caught on his mobile in a £100,000 Bentley in central London last November.

He pleaded guilty to the charge by post and was set to be dealt with at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court last month.

MailOnline understands the hearing was moved after David confirmed he would attend his sentencing to accept responsibility for the incident.

According to the charge the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star was spotted driving his 2018 Bentley while using his phone in Great Portland Street on November 21.

He previously avoided a speeding prosecution for driving a loaned Bentley at 59mph in a 40mph zone in west London two months earlier.

Celebrity lawyer Nick Freeman argued a notice of intended prosecution (NIP) was not received until one day after the statutory 14-day limit.

The technicality meant he did not face any further action. He did not attend that hearing at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court and opted for it to be heard in his absence.
