Inter Miami obtained permission to start with the demolition work of Lockhart Stadium, place where they will play their first season.

David Beckham and Co. got the green light to start the demolition work for Lockhart Stadium, the new home of Inter Miami for the start of his MLS future; the jobs are set to begin on May 6th.

I Heart Radio journalist, Andy Slater, posted on Twitter, he got information from Beckham's partner, Jorge Mas, who told him about the agreement to start the demolition of the Fort Lauderdale venue, besides assuring the negotiation process for the construction of the new stadium are in place and will be ready in 5 or 6 weeks.

David Beckham group has an ongoing lawsuit to stop the demolition of Lockhart Stadium, so despite being granted permission to start the demolition process of the venue, FXE Soccer could go to court to obtain a preliminary injunction to avoid the demolition of the stadium while the suit is in progress.

What happens if the appeal is conceded?

If FXE Soccer gets the resource, it will be irreversible damage to Inter Miami plans as the construction for the new Lockhart stadium would take between four and six months, which means the venue will be ready in time for the 2020 season, the same year the team debuts, but this could change in case the appeal is granted.
