West Brom will complete the signing of Benfica midfielder Filip Krovinovic on Thursday.
The Croatia U21 international, now 23, is joining on a season-long loan and will become Slaven Bilic's first signing.
Krovinovic is an attacking midfielder who has also had spells with NJ Zagreb and Rio Ave and hopes to conclude his move to the midlands in the next 24 hours.
Last season Krovinovic didn't manage a single goal or assist in 12 appearances for the Portuguese giants.
It is the second attacking midfielder Benfica have lost in 24 hours following Joao Felix's departure for Atletico Madrid.
Bilic was joined at training on Wednesday by new coaching assistant Julian Dicks.
