A first half injury to Karim Benzema overshadowed France's 2-0 victory over Bulgaria in their final match before Euro 2020 on Wednesday night.
The Real Madrid striker's substitution just before half-time tarnished an otherwise straightforward win at the Stade de France, thanks to a goal in each half from Antoine Griezmann and Olivier Giroud.
The home side's early domination was rewarded in style by Griezmann on the half-hour mark.
Kylian Mbappe's deflected cutback looped high to the edge of the area, before Griezmann unleashed a spectacular bicycle kick which took a slight deflection as it nestled in the corner.
However, ten minutes later, Benzema went down holding his knee after a strong collision wth Ivan Turistov, before being substituted for Giroud.
Deep into the second half, Giroud doubled France's lead, as he was on hand to steer home Benjamin Pavard's inch-perfect cross to secure the victory for his side.
Although France rounded off their Euro 2020 preparations in style here, they will be desperate to have Benzema back as they take on Germany in their first Group Stage fixture on June 15.

France won World cup without Benzema, Giroud was the target man. France ,especially Griezman plays better whenever Giroud plays so they don't necessarily need Benzema services. Benzema affects France style of play ,he forces them to play the ball on the ground which is not their strength, France coach made a mistake by calling Benzema he'll just disrupt his tactical plans what players are used to is to go for second balls they kick the ball to Giroud and fight to win second balls then counterattack but with Benzema is a different story
