Bergvall becomes Sweden's youngest World Cup player at 20 years, 132 days

On the morning of June 15th , Sweden defeated Tunisia 5-1 in the first round of the FIFA World Cup group stage.

Swedish international Bergvall came on as a substitute in the second half of this match. According to statistics, Bergvall, at 20 years and 132 days old, became the youngest player to appear in a FIFA World Cup for Sweden.

It is reported that Sweden’s previous record holder was Jesper Blomqvist, who set the record at the 1994 FIFA World Cup at the age of 20 years and 134 days.
