Bernardo Silva pays tribute to Guardiola: always my football father, the greatest coach ever

On May 28 , Bernardo Silva posted on social media to pay tribute to Guardiola, with both leaving Man City after this season.

Bernardo Silva wrote: "Guardiola was already my role model before I joined this club. It's truly an honor to play under him and, after nine years, to become the player with the most appearances under him."

When he arrived at Man City, people said it was impossible to dominate the Premier League with his methods... but they were wrong. He not only achieved domination but also transformed English football, just as he had done in other countries before.

Even after winning championship after championship, he still craved more and continued to pursue more. This hunger and ambition have been a huge inspiration to me.

For me, personally, he was and always will be my football father. Many coaches in the past saw certain parts of my game as weaknesses, but he saw them as strengths and understood me from day one.

On a personal level, the goodwill, trust, and respect between us are what I am most proud of, and they go far beyond football itself. I could not be more grateful for everything he has done for me and my family.

Thank you for all the memories and experiences, Guardiola—the greatest coach of all time! 😄
