The Manchester City striker was at his sharpest to net a treble against the Gunners and trails last season's winner Mohamed Salah by just two goals
Sergio Aguero firmly put himself back into contention for the Premier League Golden Boot with a hat-trick as Manchester City swept aside Arsenal 3-1 on Sunday.
His tenth treble in the competition is the second-most of all-time, behind only Alan Shearer who has 11, and caused William Hill to cut him from 11/2 (7.50) into 11/4 (3.75).
The Argentine opened the scoring in double-quick time on Sunday, netting after just 48 seconds, before going on to finish twice more from close-range and take his tally to 14 for the season.
However, he still trails 6/5 (2.20) Mohamed Salah by two goals despite the Liverpool man failing to find the net in either of his last two league games.
Despite that, the Egyptian still has nine goals in his last 10 games and having scored in 24 separate games last season on his way to a record-breaking 32 goals, he will hope that he can retain the award.
One goal behind Salah is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is 11/4 (3.75) after impressing in his first full season in England so far.
The Arsenal man, though, has just one goal in his last four games but that could certainly improve against Huddersfield on Saturday, with the Terriers having already conceded 46 league goals this season.
Harry Kane is out injured until at least the start of March but may well prove a shrewd bet at 12/1 (13.0), if only each-way, considering he is still only two goals behind Salah.
Kane is a two-time winner of the award and although he is likely to miss Tottenham’s next four games, if not more, a strong finish to the season could see him be in the running for a third title.
Eden Hazard moved onto 12 goals with a brace against Huddersfield - his first strike since Boxing Day - but is still 25/1 (26.0) whilst 11-goal Sadio Mane can be backed at 80/1 (81.0).
