Liverpool's early exit coupled with Arsenal and Manchester United being drawn together has solidified Pep Guardiola's side at the head of the market
Manchester City have been cut from 7/2 (4.50) to 5/2 (3.50) to win the FA Cup according to William Hill.
Pep Guardiola's side eased past Rotherham 7-0 in the third round and will now face Burnley at the Etihad Stadium later this month. The top-flight meeting between the pair saw the Citizens come out on top by a 5-0 score line in October and the bookmakers certainly expect another home win time this around.
While that isn't the toughest assignment for the Premier League champions, it was events elsewhere on Monday evening that also contributed to their fall in price as far as the outright market goes.
Liverpool were knocked out of the competition by a Wolves side who continued to produce big results against the country's elite teams.
The fourth round draw also saw Manchester United handed a trip to Arsenal which has seen both sides drift accordingly.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men are 8/1 (9.0) from 6/1 (7.0) while the Gunners are available at 10/1 (11.0) from 8/1 (9.0) in William Hill's latest FA Cup betting odds.
The same firm have also got some early prices up for who will qualify from the tie with Arsenal available at 8/11 (1.73) and United an Even money (2.0) chance to secure a spot in the fifth round. Despite United being marginal outsiders to progress from that match up, they’re still seen as more likely winners than the Gunners as far as the odds compilers are concerned.
Tottenham are 2/5 (1.40) to qualify from their clash with Crystal Palace (7/4) and Spurs are a 15/2 (8.50) chance in the outright winner market with William Hill.
Reigning champions Chelsea are 5/1 (6.0) second favourites to defend their crown after being handed a home game against the winner of Sheffield Wednesday and Luton.
29 of the last 32 FA Cups have been won by a 'Big Six' club but with two of them set to be eliminated by the time the fifth round draw comes around, punters may be considering backing someone outside that elite group.
Everton, West Ham and Wolves are all 14/1 (15.0) at the time of writing with Watford (25/1) and Brighton (33/1) next in the betting.
