The Manchester United forward looks set for a move to Serie A, with both the champions and Inter in the mix to sign the 26-year-old Belgian
Romelu Lukaku is Evens (2.0) to join Juventus following reports that the Serie A champions could offer Paulo Dybala as part of a swap deal for the Manchester United forward.
The Belgian struggled at Old Trafford last season, scoring just 15 times in 45 appearances in all competitions – with 12 of those strikes coming in the Premier League.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed him just 10 league starts last term after taking over in December and a move to Italy looks increasingly likely for Lukaku, especially considering he was left out of United's squad for a pre-season friendly in Norway.
The arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in Turin last summer has seen Dybala’s output fall dramatically, with the Argentine netting just five Serie A goals and prompting Juve to listen to offers.
Maurizio Sarri has made no secret of his desire to play Lukaku down the middle and Ronaldo on the left, which would offer no starting place for Dybala, although it remains to be seen if United deem him to be worth as much as their striker.
Inter, though, remain 3/5 (1.60) favourites with 888Sport to win the race for Lukaku’s signature, with the Italian side insisting they have made a ‘fair and important offer’ to the Red Devils.
Mauro Icardi looks set to leave the Nerazzurri this summer, which will leave a large gap up front considering the Argentina international has been the side’s top scorer in each of the last five seasons.
Inter have since made Lukaku their number one target ahead of the new season and 888Sport believe they will pip their Serie A rivals to the post.
888Sport offer 6/4 (2.50) on the Belgian staying with Man United this summer, with the market running until September 3 when the European transfer window shuts.
The Red Devils have lacked consistency in front of goal since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson in 2013, failing to record over 70 Premier League strikes in any of the last five seasons.
Lukaku, however, scored 16 during his debut campaign in 2017-18 as United hit 68, but Solskjaer could be set to favour Marcus Rashford as his first-choice striker after signing a bumper contract extension.
