Sunday's Merseyside derby ended goalless and Pep Guardiola's side have returned to the top of the table courtesy of their 1-0 win over Bournemouth
With just nine games to go, Manchester City have regained top spot in the Premier League.
bet365's latest Premier League odds see Pep Guardiola's men at 4/11 (1.36) to retain their domestic crown, ahead of the Reds who are now 11/5 (3.20) to end their 29-year wait for a top-flight crown.
The defending champions edged past Bournemouth 1-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday and Liverpool were unable to keep pace with their title rivals a day later.
Mohamed Salah missed Liverpool's two best chances as his side could only take a point from Sunday's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park. Last season's Golden Boot winner has now gone three Premier League games without a goal for the first time since his move to Anfield.
While they've only lost once this season, that 0-0 draw was the fourth stalemate in Liverpool's last six league games has seen City establish a one-point lead over Jurgen Klopp's side.
In fact, this is the first time Liverpool have not finished a day top of the Premier League table having played the same number of games as Manchester City since December 7.
bet365's Steve Freeth said: “Everton may not have ended their long wait for a victory over Liverpool, but their rivals have dropped two points at a vital stage of the season.”
Having regained top spot, City will have the chance to move even further clear as they host Watford on Saturday night while Liverpool are in action on Sunday afternoon against Burnley at Anfield.
While the odds have shifted in favour of the holders, both sides have some tough tests to face during the run-in and the prices could yet reverse as the teams look to balance their European and domestic priorities. City host Tottenham and visit the resurgent Manchester United while Klopp's side host Spurs and Chelsea before the end of the campaign.
Having retaken top spot in the Premier League and won the Carabao Cup, bet365 are now 7/1 (8.0) about Guardiola's side securing a historic quadruple of trophies this season - a bet that was 150/1 (151.0) at the start of the campaign.
