Betting Tips: Arsenal vs Wolves

Both teams have saved much of their best work for the second half of matches this term so backing late goals makes plenty of appeal at the Emirates

Arsenal will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Wolves on Sunday.

The bookmakers expect Unai Emery's side to be too strong for the newly promoted visitors with 888Sport offering 16/25 (1.64) on a home win at the Emirates.

The Gunners have played out back-to-back draws with Liverpool and Sporting CP coming into this game and 888Sport go 3/1 (4.0) on another stalemate here.

Wolves have yet to live up to some of the more emphatic pre-season hype about their top-flight credentials but look very much at home in the Premier League.

Despite three straight league defeats, the visitors are available at 22/5 (5.40) to win this game and are being afforded the respect that their mid-table position dictates.

The match odds look tricky to extract much value from but there is a pattern emerging with regards to one of the side markets available which is of interest.

Late goals have become a trend for both these teams this season. Arsenal have scored 25 times in the Premier League this term with 76 per cent of them coming in the second half of matches.

For Wolves, the statistics are even more pronounced. 11 of their 12 strikes have come after the interval and there is plenty to like about another high-scoring second half at the Emirates.

Over 1.5 goals after the break is priced at 4/5 (1.80) and considering it's landed in Arsenal's last nine Premier League games, looks worth backing once more.

Those seeking a bigger price should consider taking both teams to score in the second half at 19/10 (2.90). Given how many of the strikes these teams have managed have come late in games, more fireworks in the second 45 minutes certainly appeals.
