Betting Tips: Huddersfield vs Everton

The struggling Terriers have a new man at the helm and their Premier League clash with Everton could be a higher scoring affair than the odds suggest

Jan Siewert takes charge of his first game at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday as they host Everton.

The former Borussia Dortmund II coach replaces David Wagner at the John Smith's Stadium and is 3/1 (4.0) with 888Sport to start with a victory.

The visitors were knocked out of the FA Cup by Millwall on Saturday night in controversial circumstances. It's Evens (2.0) that Marco Silva's side bounce back with three points here while a draw between the pair is available at 23/10 (3.30).

The bookmakers certainly don't expect a thriller in West Yorkshire, going 4/6 (1.67) about under 2.5 goals being scored in this one.

Given the situation though, there could be some mileage in backing a more entertaining affair with both teams to score priced at 10/11 (1.91) by 888Sport.

Huddersfield have been very poor in attack this season, there's no doubt about that. The Terriers have netted just 13 times in the top-flight - the worst tally in the division by a significant margin.

However, having had plenty of time to prepare for this game courtesy of an early FA Cup exit and the added impetus of new management, they should be able to find some joy against the Toffees.

Everton have already leaked 33 times in 23 Premier League games and off the back of a 3-2 defeat at the New Den just three days ago, the visitors face a tough turnaround.

Silva named a strong side in South London and while they had few problems in the final third, Millwall were able to find plenty of success themselves, particularly from set pieces.

The visitors have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 matches in all competitions and it's tough to put any faith in them shutting out even the worst attack in the Premier League here.

The previous meeting between the pair ended 1-1 at Goodison Park and a repeat would be good enough to land this play at 10/11 (1.91) with 888Sport.
