Betting Tips: West Ham vs Liverpool goalscorers

Liverpool will be aiming to move 19 points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League on Wednesday night when they head to the London Stadium to face West Ham.

This game was scheduled to be played in December but was rearranged due to the Reds’ participation in the Club World Cup, although it has not come at the best time for them with Sadio Mane ruled out for this fixture.

The absence of Mane means Mohamed Salah is just 4/6 (1.67) with bet365 to score anytime against the Hammers, which comes as little surprise considering he will be the main goalscoring threat.

Indeed, the Egyptian forward has four goals in four appearances against the London side and, despite the short price, could prove to be a popular selection.

Divock Origi is the likely replacement for Mane and he can be backed to score his fourth Premier League goal of the season at a tempting Evens (2.0), although he has not found the net since doing so twice against Everton in December.

Scorer of the late winner against Wolves last week and also against Tottenham almost three weeks ago, Roberto Firmino is 11/10 (2.10) to make it seven goals in his last nine starts in all competitions.

January signing Takumi Minamino could also be in contention against David Moyes’ men but after a trio of distinctly mediocre appearances for the Reds, the Japan international seems unlikely to justify 7/5 (2.40) anytime goalscorer odds.

Young duo Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott have impressed in cup competitions for Liverpool this season but are probably too short at 7/4 (2.75) given that they are unlikely to take the field.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored his first league goal for Liverpool against West Ham back in 2017 and is a candidate to replace Mane, so may be worth a long-shot chance at 11/5 (3.20).

For the Hammers, Sebastian Haller has not exactly justified the money West Ham paid for him last summer yet and is out at 13/5 (3.60) to score his seventh Premier League goal of the campaign.

Michail Antonio is available at 4/1 (5.0), the same price as team-mate Albian Ajeti, whilst Manuel Lanzini is out at 11/2 (6.50) to strike for the first time this season.
