Liverpool midfielder Mateusz Musialowski has emerged as a target for Birmingham City.
The 20-year-old, nicknamed the 'Polish Messi', is known for his dribbling ability. He has quick feet, great balance and can finish off either foot but Liverpool have plenty of competition in the attacking midfield and forward areas.
Musialowski, who is out of contract at the end of the season, saw a move to Austrian side TSV Hartberg fall through in the summer but other clubs have taken note of his performances in Liverpool's youth sides.
Coach Barry Lewtas praised Musialowski's approach earlier in the season saying: 'He’s been brilliant. This season, in terms of his level of consistency, without question it has risen.
'He’s taking more responsibility for his all-round game and he commits to every phase of the game now.
'Defensively he’s strong and buying in. No-one can doubt his ability to dribble the ball, he can dribble past most, but he is finding a real consistency in his game.'
Birmingham are looking to improve their squad for new manager Tony Mowbray and give him players who are strong in possession.
They are also among the clubs keen to sign Sunderland's Alex Pritchard.
The attacking midfielder's contract with the Black Cats expires in June 2024.
The 30-year-old moved to Sunderland in 2021 from Huddersfield, and has enjoyed spells at Norwich, Tottenham, West Brom and Brentford.
He has played 25 times across all competitions this season for Sunderland, notably featuring in their FA Cup clash against Newcastle earlier this month.
Despite that, Pritchard has returned one goal and five assists during those matches,
