Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he expects Armando Broja to remain at Chelsea.
Broja has been heavily linked with a move away from the Blues, with West Ham having a strong interest in taking the highly rated young striker on loan.
However, Tuchel stated that Broja is eager to impress and a decision needs to be made over his future.
As reported by Sky Sports, Tuchel said: 'I don't expect him to leave. I'm aware of the offers and aware of the interest. We will make a decision together, the owner and me and the player. When he arrived it was clear he is trying to impress and become a Chelsea player.
'After his Southampton loan it's clear he wants to make the next step. Unfortunately he got injured and there is now a lot of interest in him. Let's see how that goes. He has a contract here.
'We have a lot of options but not the type of Armando. Last season with him and Conor Gallagher we always have to weigh up what's good for them and the club. Is there a prospect of him getting minutes here.
'He has already played in the Premier League. With Armando we have to look at the situation very carefully and individually and decide do we have the minutes we can offer so he can grow here or give him another loan to give him match minutes.'
Broja, 20, made a major impact in the Premier League while on loan at Southampton last season and he is eager for further opportunities to impress in the top flight.
He was part of the Chelsea squad that travelled to the United States for their pre-season tour but had to return to England after suffering an injury in training.
The Albania international previously had a loan spell at Vitesse and has made one senior appearance for Chelsea, which came against Everton in the Premier League in 2020.
Chelsea can call upon Timo Werner as an attacking option, but the Germany international suggested that his future could lie elsewhere.
'It is hard to say,' he said when asked if clear-the-air talks were needed.
'First of all, the most important thing is that I am happy. I am happy when I play and score goals. That's the fact. That's what I should take care of and the other things will come. I could be happy everywhere.'
