Manchester United defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is considering a move to the MLS to kickstart his career.
The 22-year-old, who made his first team debut in 2015 and was named United’s young player of the year, was expected to have a bright future following his early promise.
However a difficult loan period at Wolves seriously affected his confidence and his form suffered as a consequence.
The England U20 international had subsequent spells with Leeds United, Scunthorpe and Tranmere but failed to make the desired impact.
He is currently training with League Two Oldham Athletic as he ponders his next move but also has interest from Adrian Heath’s Minnesota United and New York Red Bulls - he is attracted by the prospect of a fresh start across the Atlantic.
The left back and centre back is out of contract in the summer though United have a one year option.
Meanwhile, Eric Bailly is back in United’s squad to face Burnley tonight.
The 25-year old has been out with a knee injury since July but is fit to figure at Old Trafford.
Victor Lindelof has been ruled out ill so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will choose between Phil Jones and Bailly who partners Harry Maguire.
United are closing on a deal to sign Sunderland’s 16-year old left back Logan Pye who was at Carrington this week and had been a target for Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Sometimes one wonder how it all started going bad for these youngsters... Cleverly, Macheda, Januzaj, Depay, Gomes, Mensah, Chong, Jackson coz at one point in time looks like they'd have a long & promising future at United like Scholes, Keane, Giggs, Ferdinand and others had.

I Remembered Clearly Borthwick-Jackson Performed Quite Well Under Van Gaal. But Things Went Downhill Even Since. Switching From Club To Club Never Really Kick-start His Career Again. Only 22 And Seems Like His Career Is About Done.

Jackson moving to MLS at 22 is way too early for him , he should try and get himself a club in Europe to see if he can revive his career as he still has age advantage ..
