The Bundesliga side have moved quickly to find a substitute for Haaland and have set their sights on 17-year-old sensation, Mohamed Ali-Cho.

While Erling Haaland continues to mull over where he would like to play next season, Borussia Dortmund have moved swiftly into action. The German club are anticipating that the Norwegian striker will be moving on and have selected a possible replacement - Mohamed-Ali Cho. The teenage French forward has impress ed at Angers, where he has scored two goals so far this season. He is expected to join Dortmund on loan during the current transfer window. He will spend the next six months in Dortmund with the Bundesliga club securing the option to buy him outright in June for 20 million euros, Footmercato reports.

Everton youth team product

Ali Cho is the latest promise to have emerged from French football. Despite being just 17 years old, he is already valued at 12 million euros by Transfermakt. He has been going from strength to strength since making his first team debut with Angers in August 2020. He was born in France but spent four years in England in Everton's youth academy. He also has English nationality but turned down the chance to play for the Three Lions so that he could represent France at youth level, where he has shone for the Under-21s.

He is a centre-foward but is strong playing on either wing where he can use his pace and cut inside to make the most of his stronger left foot. At 1.82m he is an imposing player with a physical presence but also has the quality to go with it. He possesses strength, characher and technique - all of which makes him a difficult player for rival defences to stop, especially when he is in full flight. His performance against Olympique Lyon in the second league game of the season was carefully noted by scouts from a number of top European clubs.
