Leeds United twice came from behind against Bournemouth as Sean Longstaff's 97th-minute equaliser rescued a 2-2 draw at the Vitality Stadium.

The Cherries looked to be on their way to sixth in the Premier League when Rayan put them ahead with five minutes to go, but Longstaff volleyed past Djordje Petrovic to move Leeds nine points clear of the relegation zone.

After Karl Darlow made a brilliant save to deny Ryan Christie on the stroke of half-time, Junior Kroupi gave Bournemouth the lead on the hour mark as his shot deflected past the goalkeeper off Joe Rodon.

However, an own goal from James Hill, which came shortly after Noah Okafor struck the post, saw Leeds back level and pushing for a winner.

Momentum then swung Bournemouth's way again, and second-half substitute Rayan swept into the bottom-left corner from Tyler Adams' cross, while Evanilson saw a goal disallowed for a tight offside call following a VAR review shortly after.

Leeds refused to lie down and saw Lukas Nmecha hit the base of the right post with a volley in stoppage time.

However, Longstaff was on hand to snatch a point for the visitors as he lashed in from the edge of the box after Bournemouth failed to clear their lines from another long throw.

Bournemouth were left to rue their missed chances in the end, with Marcos Senesi also hitting the woodwork, as the Cherries produced 1.45 expected goals (xG) from 17 shots to Leeds' 0.83 from 10 attempts.
