Bournemouth 3-2 Tottenham: Semenyo marks final match with stoppage-time stunner

Antoine Semenyo provided Bournemouth with the perfect parting gift as he struck in stoppage time to give the Cherries a 3-2 victory over fellow strugglers Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League, ending their 11-game winless run in the process.

Andoni Iraola stated that this could be Semenyo's final game in a Bournemouth shirt as he edges closer to a move to Manchester City, and the winger left a parting gift for the fans as he helped end their 11-game winless run.

It was a fast start from Spurs as Mathys Tel cut inside before finding the bottom-right corner with a low finish that went through the legs of Alex Jimenez in the fifth minute.

However, the Cherries had turned things around before the break. Evanilson glanced a header from Marcus Tavernier's cross past Guglielmo Vicario in the 22nd minute, with Junior Kroupi putting the Cherries ahead before half-time with a close-range finish.

Second-half substitute Richarlison struck the woodwork with a header of his own, while Micky van de Ven saw a penalty decision in his favour after a collision with James Hill overturned following a VAR check.

Joao Palhinha then levelled the scoreline in the 78th minute with an acrobatic bicycle kick, before Djordje Petrovic denied van de Ven a potential winner with a brilliant save, which proved crucial before Semenyo’s strike.

The Ghana international combined with David Brooks on the left wing before cutting inside and firing beyond the reach of a diving Vicario to snatch all three points at the Vitality Stadium.
