A second-half brace from Josh King and goals from David Brooks and Charlie Daniels added up to a miserable Chelsea outing at Bournemouth.
Match Report
Josh King's brace inspired Bournemouth to a 4-0 victory as Maurizio Sarri's lacklustre Chelsea suffered back-to-back Premier League defeats.
Cup triumphs over Tottenham and Sheffield Wednesday suggested Sarri's withering assessment of the 2-0 loss to Arsenal had the desired effect, but a section of the away supporters turned on their Italian coach at the Vitality Stadium.
Wales winger David Brooks created King's 47th-minute opener before coolly doubling Bournemouth's advantage, although he pulled up on a subsequent attack to cut a wonderful display short.
Prior to that substitution, some Chelsea fans sang "You don't know what you're doing" as Sarri withdrew Gonzalo Higuain after 65 minutes of his Premier League debut.
King's second and a stoppage-time Charlie Daniels goal means Chelsea drop below Arsenal into fifth on goal difference, while Bournemouth's win moves them up to 10th.

34' SAVE! Kepa denies Brooks' header
BROOKS ALMOST BREAKS THE DEADLOCK! More good play from the Cherries following a corner ends with a great delivery by the lively King, but Brooks’ header is too weak and Arrizabalaga is called into action for the first time, safely catching the ball.
38' Azpilicueta's long shot saved by Boruc
GREAT SAVE BY BORUC! Immediately after Brooks’ effort, Chelsea break towards the Bournemouth half and the lively Hazard finds Azpilicueta out on the right wing before the skipper cuts in and unleashes a left-footed curler that Boruc dives at full-stretch to beat away!
47'GOAL! Bournemouth 1-0 Chelsea (King)
GOOOOAAAALLLL!!! BOURNEMOUTH TAKE THE LEAD!! Brooks again at the heart of the Cherries’ attacking play as he receives a throw-in before cutting the ball back to King, who has all the time to power it past Arrizabalaga! 90 seconds into the second half, and it’s 1-0 to Bournemouth!
63'GOAL! Bournemouth 2-0 Chelsea (Brooks)
GOOOOAAALLLL!!! BOURNEMOUTH DOUBLE THEIR ADVANTAGE!! Sloppy play by David Luiz just when Chelsea were in possession mode, as the Brazilian gives the ball away to Brooks who exchanges a one-two with King before taking one touch to evade a challenge and using the other to slot it past Arrizabalaga!! It’s now 2-0 to the Cherries, and the Vitality Stadium is rocking!
74'GOAL! Bournemouth 3-0 Chelsea (King)
GOOOOAAALLLLL!!!! IT’S NOW 3-0 TO BOURNEMOUTH!! A magnificent team goal oozing in confidence, as Clyne pierces through the Chelsea defence with a brilliant throughball down the right wing which evades Emerson and David Luiz towards the quick Stanislas, who cuts it back for the grateful King to grab his brace!!
90+5' GOAL! Bournemouth 4-0 Chelsea (Daniels)
GOOOOAAALLLLL!! DANIELS MAKES IT 4-0!! The substitute managed to spend less than two minutes on the pitch before connecting with Ibe’s free-kick with a low header that leaves Arrizabalaga rooted to his spot!!

The patience of Chelsea fans has run out. Italian football and Italian coaches are finished. If they are not, why was Italy not at the World Cup in Russia? As for Sarri, he must go now before we see Chelsea at the bottom of the league table. His hardheaded refusal to play players in their positions, his refusal to do away with spent and worn out players like David Luis, Jorgihno in favour of young talented players smachs smacks of arrogance and hardiness and affront to the Chelsea Mgt. He must be sacked now before the huge investments go down the drain. Champions League football is what every good player like Hazard, Callum Odoi, etc looks to to show their loyalty and commitment to a team. Sarri must go now. Gaufe.

Sarri doesn't have any trustworthy attacking plan, all he knows is passing, passing and passing, then crossing, rotatively. Bring back Mourinho

5 things that got to happen for our club to get back on top. • Sarri needs to embrace the idea of non possession football for certain opponents. Teams like Bournemouth who put like 9 men behind the ball can't be broken down by possession unless you're Barca who have done it for years on years. Possession football loses disgustingly to counter attack. Seen it at Spurs, Wolves, Leicester, Arsenal and now Bournemouth. We need 2 different approaches for the games. We got hit by the same approach to our approach every time and we've fallen to it nearly every time. But don't jump on the blame Sarri bandwagon. It's not his fault the players are of a poor calibre. We've seen these kind of performances for the last 2-3 years even in title winning seasons. Give Sarri time, don't jump on the bandwagon. We are a lot better now than we were last year. It's just the competition is a lot closer... • The players we have right now aren't good enough for Possession football. Did you see how awful our passing is as a team. Luiz gave away 2 goals. Someone gave away 1 (cant remember who but all came from right side surprisingly). 3 out of 4 goals were completely avoidable but we allowed a team with some of the fastest players in the league to counter us with sloppy passes. If the club seriously want to persue this style of football, they need to give Sarri his players. And I mean like 4 or 5 transfers who are all first targets. Enough of going after 2nd targets, that's what's cost us. • Sell and invest. We need to sell players. The overall quality of the team is probably the 2nd worst from the top 6 after Arsenal who have multiple areas that need improving though we aren't far off. I know you'll all get mad at this but we need to sell Hazard. His heart is not here. He doesn't even look like he's giving his best anymore. Selling Hazard plus some deadwood players and older players such as Willian, Pedro, Cahill, Drinkwater, Zappacosta etc. would help us invest into getting some top calibre players. Those players alone can get us around 300 if we go right about our business. 300 million to invest is plenty. We can get some top top players for that amount and play top calibre football in the process. We need both agile and intelligent players. We got some intelligent players but only Kante is both intelligent and agile in the team truthfully. Odoi would count too if he played enough. We really do need a lot of new recruits. • We need to trust in certain players and not blame certain ones cos of a bandwagon. Odoi would have been good in this game. He can unlock defences and put in the right type of pass a game demands. Willian won't do that. We could have had Malcom right now if not for our dumb board. The substitutions and the timing for the substitutions made no sense today which is on Sarri. Emerson may not have been great but you have to remember, this is his first premier league outing pretty much this season. You cant tell someone who hasn't walked yet to run. He will pick up the pace in 2 or 3 games as long as the manager has faith in him. Alonso would have cost us 3 goals on his own and it would have been 7-0. My opinion Emerson did an ok job but the team was collectively bad. Same goes for Higuain, on the contrary for me Higauin was the best Chelsea player on the pitch. While he was there, he tried to make the runs despite no service and being heavily marked by 3 players every time. He also dropped deep to link the play and made some great passes. His overall game was the best from any Chelsea player on that pitch. Higuain also needs some time to adapt fully to how premier league football is played. He is the last person you should be trolling or blaming. The players that cost us are the older signings. Not the new ones. For me Emerson and Higuain get a pass even if they played bad or good or whatever. Both pretty much played a debut game for the premier league smh. • The mentality needs to be corrected. This team almost start to panic at 1 goal down and by the 2nd goal concede defeat. I don't understand what is wrong with our team. Also we have to get rid of player power. These guys are gonna get yet another good coach sacked by pinning their shortcomings on him. The team and the board have the mentality of 3rd rate people. They're both complacent as long as they get paid and profit instead of caring about how the fans feel and playing for the badge. We got a guy that loves the club and have star quality sitting on the bench while we allow guys that don't love the club and are complacent cos they know they won't get replaced play the game. It's ridiculous. The mentality in the club is poor and the cause for our hit and miss matches. Only Chelsea can go and beat a team like say United then get slapped by Fulham. I'm 100% convinced the inconsistencies stem from players with lazy and complacent attitudes. We got Alonso out, now it's time to get Willian and his complacent laid back attitude out the starting 11 for Odoi. Minor changes can literally improve the club. Also Christensen is another kne that loves the club but we never play him in BPL. RLC, Chirstensen, Ampadu and Odoi grew up through our system, know our football and are extremely talented, love our club and want to play for the badge but are still not trusted. I'm just so lost by this. Ake who we didn't trust from our youth was like the best defender on the pitch today. Just shows what a little faith can do. That's my only criticism of Sarri, he needs to show more faith in our academy players cos realistically they're the most ambitious. Though I cant blame him either cos in his head he feels the need to play senior players as he may get fired if he takes risks.... Anyway that's it for my ranting. Said what I have to say.

Sarri is technically bankrupt! Instead of improving his own skills as a coach, he is insulting the players. Soon Hazard, Willian, Odoi. etc will leave Chelsea to seek Champions League football elsewhere, not Europa League which they do not belong. Sarri is not good enough for EPL Football. Even in the Italian Seria A, he hasn't worn any trophies . So what is his track record in coaching?A stitch in time saves nine. Sarri must go now!He is breaking too many hearts with his consistent poor performance. Chelsea management, please save us from this incompetent Sarri, otherwise we will take our support elsewhere. THE CHELSEA WAY: Chelsea replaced Conte who won them 2 trophies with Sarri who has never won a trophy. Signed Morata to replace Batshuayi who had scored more goals than Morata. Now they're bringing in Higuain to replace Morata who has scored more goals this season than Higuain Chelsea once signed Lukaku to replace Drogba then Loaned Lukaku out and signed Drogba to replace Lukaku. Sold David Luiz to PSG for £50M then bought David Luiz from PSG again for £34M after David Luiz had knocked them out of Champions League🤣 They hired Jose Mourinho, fired him then hired him and fired him again. Bought Matic and sold him then bought him back and sold him, bought Bakayoko to replace him then loaned him then loaned someone to replace him

i said it earlier when Sarri was appointed as Chelsea Coach while the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia was going on,that Sarri have no pattern and also have nothing to offer us,good three season in Italy no single trophy domestic & Europe.the only thing he did was qualifying them to play UEFA champions League and they don't use to reach or cross round of 16.Chelsea main objective is not to play champions league every season.now the top 4 is not even guaranteed, how on Earth should he let Fabrigas leave because of lazy Jorginho.playing Almighty Kante out his natural & best position one of the best 4 in the world currently.we don't have any defence cover up.lazy player don't play 4 that's why it's called Defensive midfield.with that alone i discovered dt he has no plan.Higuain that scored 2 goals in 12 matches.infact am speechless over Sarri ball.play Almighty Kante out of his position is disastrous for us & we can loose ball & conceive goal at any giving time.Chelsea board should know dt Sarri is a trophyless coach.

I still blame sarri for dis defeat despite poor performance by d players, why was odoi not on the bench if not even being a started, poor tactical approach to the game as always, the players especially hazard wasn't looking for the striker, no clear cut chance inside the opposition box. this sarri ball from wat I have seen is a game played at the mid field area, complains abt jorginho are no funny DAT guy is doing absolute nothing; no protection for defense, attacking contribution, nil. A big team DAT plays without having good attempts on goal, Chelsea do make dere opponent look gud.

Sign of the times at Stamford bridge. Very sad to watch a club falter so badly. Here we have a manager who has vehemently refused to listen to the voice of reason and make changes. He has continued to live and perhaps die with Jorghino. He has moved the best defensive midfielder in the world to an attacking position to make room for his boy Jorghino and Chelsea has once again paid a big price. For how long will the fans endure such wanton and calculated mismanagement of personnel? I think the board should act now before it's too late. The worst thing that will happen to Chelsea is to fail to make top four and I'm afraid that may be our harsh reality. Very sad day for CFC!!

It is a pity to lost to Bournemouth 4-0. To move on we must consider replacing Sarri. Chelsea can not qualify for UCL with Sarri in Charge. Arguably Chelsea is the only EPL team this season that has played one system through out. It makes Chelsea very predictable. Jorgenho is not making tackles so the back 4 is not offer any protection by him, yet Sarri can't do anything about it. He accused the players of being hard to motivate, but I think he has the problem of being dogmatic. Sarri's easily predictable system has a very low goal scoring temperament. I think he can't make it in the EPL. He must goooooooo!!!!!!!!! From Liberia, I am Heavenly Leo Allison.

Chelsea loss where should the blame go to, so many angles.... the coach is too rigid in his style of play, he has refused to change players or formation, (am sure if these sets of players remain with him for 5yrs he will still chose same team) jorginoh is good with the ball but weak defensively the team is passing the ball well but most of the passes are side ward and backwards. how can you have possession 80/20 in first half with out clear cut chances and the second half loss that game 4:0. the coach is concerned with possession it doesn't win you games and this is EPL physical game, if u don't kill ur opponent you give them the chance to come back and hurt you. are the players difficulty to motivate maybe will the coach last long maybe not. this is Chelsea fc.
