Bournemouth are closing on a loan deal for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson.

Sportsmail reported Bournemouth's interest in the Wales international last week as they sought to avert an injury crisis following the news that David Brooks is out for three months with ankle ligament damage.

Liverpool had originally considered selling the 22-year old Wilson who is valued at around £25million after he impressed while on loan at Derby County last season.

However, talks are now focusing on a season loan agreement with Liverpool looking for guarantees that the talented Wilson will play.

Bournemouth are likely to be asked for a fee and penalty payments if Wilson does not play a set amount of games.

Wilson featured heavily during the pre-season campaign for the Reds, scoring a long-range effort against Lyon in Geneva.

He was not included among the substitutes during the recent Community Shield final with Manchester City, in which Liverpool were defeated on penalties.
