Bournemouth are close to signing Bristol City striker Antoine Semenyo after having a bid of £9million plus add-ons accepted.
The 23-year-old was waiting for an offer from Crystal Palace on Thursday but, with no bid forthcoming, headed to Bournemouth for a medical.
The Cherries have also made a bold bid to sign Roma attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.
The move comes as they anxiously await results on the second part of a medical for Nicolas Jackson who was expected to join from Villarreal for £20m.
Jackson arrived to complete his deal with a hamstring injury, which Bournemouth were aware of, but the first part of the medical raised other concerns.
Bournemouth have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Darren Randolph from West Ham.
Randolph, has not played a Premier League game in two seasons, but he will offer competition to the likes of Neto and Mark Travers in goal for Bournemouth.
Zaniolo is understood to be ready to leave Italy this month with a number of clubs across Europe monitoring his situation.
Tottenham have long held an interest in the 23-year-old, but Bournemouth’s need for attacking reinforcements this month has seen them enter the race.

Check ur stats well How many has he start
Dude if a guy has played 122 games of senior football for his club and hasn't managed to become a regular starter that tells me something, and hint, it's nothing good

So they are paying 9 million for a striker who doesn't score goals. Great business that. 20 goals in 122 games for his club is a fantastic ratio!
