Bournemouth will offer Welsh midfielder David Brooks a a big pay rise in an effort to ward off interest from Premier League duo Tottenham and Manchester United.
Manager Eddie Howe wants to reward the player, who has impressed ever since signing from Sheffield United in the summer.
His performances have caught the eye of both United and Spurs with both clubs planning on making at move at the end of the season, if not sooner.
They would both be willing to pay in the region of £40million for Brooks, who was signed by the Cherries for a fee of £11.5 million.
However, Bournemouth have no plans to let the 21-year-old go and are willing to double his current wages to around £50,000-a-week, according to The Sun.
The signs are that the Welshman will commit his future to the club by putting pen to paper on the new and improved contract.
Brooks has contributed five goals and two assists in 22 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

If all the rumours were true, AFCB wouldn¿t have a team left on February 1! Eddie has been brilliant in bringing players on to the extent that they are coveted by the big clubs.

Have to admire what Eddie Howe has done at Bournemouth but if Spurs are interested the young players talents would be finely honed at Spurs with Mauricio.
