No Firmino, Coutinho, or Guimarães for Brazil
Brazil have officially released their squad for the upcoming international break as World Cup qualification continues.
Seleção are primed to clash with Venezuela in Caracas and Colombia in Barranquilla, before returning home to host Uruguay in Manaus.
But the five-time World Cup winners will be without former key duo Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho who were both overlooked for the Brazil team, and the same can be said for Everton forward Richarlison.
There was room for Liverpool stalwarts Alisson Becker and Fabinho, however, while Chelsea and Tottenham stars Thiago Silva and Emerson Royal were also included in Tite’s 25-man squad.
Another shock comes from his decision to not reward Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Bruno Guimarães. The 23-year-old would have been hoping to add to his three caps thus far as he continues to showcase his credentials in the Rhône valley under Peter Bosz despite his clubs shaky start in Ligue 1 this season.
UK quarantine rules relaxed for elite footballers could still cause headaches
Despite the UK relaxing its travel rules, footballers having to make the trip to and from Brazil could still be caught in between the Brazilian FA and the new quarantine system to be put into place.
Now, players are expected to isolate inside the player bubble for five days – which allows them to continue to train – rather than go into a full quarantine bubble for 10-days.
However, in the case of the upcoming international break, Brazil scheduling their home fixture against Uruguay a mere 36-hours before the resumption of the Premier League calendar, any player gone on duty looks likely to miss their first weekend back on English soil.

go watch he's previous matches couthino is the best Brazilian I ever seen selfish? you should ask mbappe about the selfish
Na bro his play is lack lustre, and selfish. I remember he played a game and it was unforgiving.. Everyone wanted to rip his head off.. He wouldn't pass the ball and when he did it kept on getting it intercepted. That game he kept on taking shots on Goal instead of through balling it to players in better positions. His skill are excellent I'm not denying that. But Football’s a team game and selfishness won’t win Titi points that game was his execution from the team. The fans were furious, the players were pissed, Titi was unforgivable. I agree with you skilfully excellent some say better than Neymar. But that day, people wanted his Head.
