Three of Brentford's Championship rivals are keeping tabs on their contract talks with Emiliano Marcondes.
Leaders Norwich, QPR and Nottingham Forest are all interested in attacking midfielder Marcondes as the Bees try to resolve his future.
Marcondes, 25, current deal, signed on his arrival in 2018, expires next summer and talks have been held over an extension.
They have yet to reach a successful conclusion though alerting Norwich, QPR and Forest ahead of the January window.
Marcondes played a significant role for Brentford last season, making 25 appearances, as they reached the play-off final where they lost out to neighbours Fulham.
He has continued to feature regularly this season, appearing in 19 of the 23 games for Thomas Frank’s side.
