Brighton are reportedly keen to sign Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker-Peters and CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov in the January transfer window.

The Seagulls are keen to strengthen at both ends of the pitch after a poor run of form which has seen them win just one of their last five Premier League games.

Chalov is a key target, according to The Sun, as Brighton as the club look to find a long term replacement for veteran striker Glenn Murray, who is out of contract in the summer.

The 21-year-old was the subject of interest from Brighton's fierce rivals Crystal Palace in the summer and has scored five goals in 19 Russian Premier League appearances this term.

Brighton are also eyeing Spurs right-back Walker-Peters, who has struggled for regular first team football under Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho.

The 22-year-old has remained on the substitutes bench despite the poor form of first choice right-back Serge Aurier in recent weeks.

Brighton are hopeful his lack of opportunities will boost their chances of signing the England Under-21 international, whose one appearance under Mourinho came in the Champions League clash at Bayern Munich.

The Seagulls are currently sat in 14th place, five points above the relegation zone, following their 2-0 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

As well as banking three important points, it was also the club's first clean sheet in their last 10 games in all competitions.

Brighton are next in action when they take on Chelsea in Wednesday's lunchtime kick-off.
