Bruno Fernandes has described the feeling of winning his first trophy as a Manchester United player as 'amazing' - but outlined his desire for further success.

The Portuguese captained the side as they overcame Newcastle United in the first domestic final of the season at Wembley.

Goals from Casemiro and a Sven Botman own-goal six minutes apart saw Erik ten Hag's side claim the Carabao Cup.

Speaking to Sky Sports on the pitch in the immediate aftermath of the triumph, Fernandes said they had been 'searching for this moment' and now they had it, they wanted 'more'.

'We have been searching for this moment, us, the fans and the club,' he said. 'We are all together and finally we get our trophy, I think deservedly.

'It has been an amazing period (so far this season), but we want and need more, it is not enough for this club.

'I am satisfied, because now I get my trophy, but I want more and we want more.'
