Burnley ended a run of 11 successive defeats to Arsenal and probably should have claimed victory, only for Jay Rodriguez to miss a sitter.
Match Report
Arsenal's Premier League struggles continued on Sunday as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Burnley, who could easily have snatched all three points at Turf Moor.
The Gunners had won their last 11 meetings with Burnley in all competitions but Mikel Arteta's men did not do nearly enough to extend that run as they again failed to make up significant ground on the top four.
Although Arsenal spurned presentable chances of their own, they could consider themselves a little fortunate to pick up a point as Jay Rodriguez somehow contrived to hit the underside of the bar from five yards out with 12 minutes remaining, the ball coming down on the goalline.
Both teams remain on 31 points, 10 adrift of the top four and seven above the bottom three.

2' CLOSE! Lacazette's header wide out
Arsenal start brightly as they work the ball out from the back, David Luiz attracting healthy boos. Ozil finds Aubameyang wide left and he hangs the ball into the box for Lacazette, who heads wide. Good early chance for the visitors.
14' MISS! Aubameyang's shot wide out
David Luiz's long pass over the top finds Aubameyang who's beaten the offside trap. The Gabonese is through on goal and looks certain to score but horribly hashes his shot, firing wide of the near post.
19' CHANCE! Jay Rodriguez's shot denied by Leno
Wood chests down a direct pass and lays it off for Rodriguez who unleashes a daisy-cutter that looks destined for the bottom left corner. Leno dives to his right to keep it out. Burnley get their first corner of the game.
37' CLOSE! Aubameyang's shot stopped by Pope
Xhaka spots Aubameyang's run and chips a pass over the Burnley defence. Aubameyang only has the keeper to beat but Pope's straight out of his goal and raises his hands to block Aubameyang's close-range dink.
55' CHANCE! Tarkowski's header wide out
The free-kick comes in and Tarkowski and Mee are queueing up to head it in at the far post! In the end, Tarkowski makes contact but can only fire it wide of the post. Arsenal have been warned now.
68' MISS! Willock's long shot wide out
Not a bad effort at all there from Torreira as he lets fly from range, but it goes straight into Pope's gloves. Not long after, Willock also tries his luck from way out, but drags it well wide of the post.
76' CLOSE! Aubameyang's header inches wide
Lacazette holds the ball up to the left of Burnley's box and elects to curl a cross in himself. He finds Aubameyang whose header fizzes past the left-hand post.
78' OFF THE CROSSBAR! Jay Rodriguez nearly scores
The crowd can't believe it! McNeil rises high in the box and nods down to Rodriguez. Rodriguez cannons a shot off the crossbar which bounces down right onto the goalline and Leno swipes it away. Nine times out of 10, that goes in. That's the closest we've come to a goal yet!

After Invincibles' unbeaten season, Arsenal are again competing with Liverpool to become the first team to stay unbeaten in 2020 but the only difference between the two teams is that Arsenal are collecting only 1 point every match while Liverpool are going for 3 points
