Burnley are lining up a cut-price £1million deal for Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton.
Sean Dyche is a keen admirer of Bitton and wants to try to sign him in January to boost his options in a number of areas, according to The Sun.
The versatile 28-year-old, who stands at 6ft 4ins, primarily operates as a centre midfielder but can also play at centre-back.
Bitton's Celtic contract expires in the summer and no new deal has yet been put on the table by the Scottish Premiership champions.
Burnley are confident they can secure his services for just £1m and will look to sign him when the January window opens.
Dyche is keen to have more options in midfield with Jack Cork and Ashley Westwood so far playing almost every game after Danny Drinkwater has failed to make any kind of impression, having featured in just one EFL Cup game this season.
Drinkwater is on loan from Chelsea, but Burnley are set to pull the plug on his spell at the club in January.
