Callum Wilson got the last laugh over Michail Antonio on the Footballers' Football Podcast after doing the Macarena celebration during Newcastle's recent demolition of West Ham.

Wilson opened the scoring after six minutes into Newcastle's 5-1 win over the Hammers before pulling out the iconic 90s dance move.

The celebration was more than just a moment of madness though, as Antonio had instructed Wilson to do the Macarena on their podcast nine months prior in August 2022.

The Newcastle striker promised he would make good on the agreement if he scored against West Ham and was able to follow through with his promise after just six minutes of the game at the London Stadium.

Wilson and Antonio have since recorded another episode of their podcast, during which the Magpies' goalscorer joked he should have chased his friend round the pitch instead.

A clip from the most recent episode of Wilson and Antonio's podcast revealed that there are no hard feelings between the two strikers over the celebration.

Antonio told listeners: 'I was like five yards behind him when he scored by the way, but he wheeled off in the other direction.

'I was like this guy had the perfect opportunity to celebrate to my face.

Wilson then asked: 'What would you have actually done if I'd come up to you?'

Antonio responded: 'If I saw you running my way, I'd have run off.'

The Newcastle striker joked with his co-host: 'I'd have chased your black ass round the pitch boy, I'd have been chasing your ass round the pitch.'

Wilson had been in fine goalscoring form for the Magpies heading into the fixture in East London, having found the net against Manchester United in the game previously.

The former Bournemouth striker is now up to double figures for the season, with 10 goals from 29 Premier League appearances this campaign.

After Newcastle's win over West Ham and their subsequent victory over Brentford the following Saturday, Eddie Howe's side have won five Premier League games on the spin.

The Magpies have widened their advantage in the Champions League positions, three points clear and with a game in hand over Tottenham in fifth.

In contrast, West Ham temporarily slipped into 15th place in the league table after the result against Newcastle, but have since moved up to 14th after thier 1-0 win over Fulham

Next up for Wilson and Newcastle is a trip to the Midlands to face Aston Villa on Saturday, whilst Antonio and West Ham have a visit from Gent in the Conference League quarter-finals later this evening.
