Camavinga's agent: Real Madrid are going through tough times

Real Madrid's interest in Eduardo Camavinga is longstanding and his new agent Jonathan Barnett has hinted at the financial issues hitting the Spanish football, including Los Blancos, could scupper any move.

Camavinga, currently with Rennes, dreams of moving to one of Europe's big clubs, including Zinedine Zidane's squad, though a fee of roughly 50 million euros will be needed to secure his signature.

"No idea, you have to ask Real Madrid," Barnett told Goal.com, when asked whether Camavinga could move to the Estadio Bernabeu.

"First of all, [Real] Madrid are going through a tough time just now. All Spanish clubs are the same, so unfortunately we will have to see what happens. It may be that Spanish clubs can't afford Camavinga.

"[Madrid are] a great club, a great club to play for. Eduardo will have a choice of a lot of clubs if Rennes decides to release him. They will be one of the four of five clubs in the world he might go to.

"Eduardo would love to play for a top club. Madrid are one of those top clubs in the world, so are Barcelona. I think [a fee of 50m will be needed] to secure his signature."

Whether or not he will move in the near future remains to be seen, with Barnett branding him as a potential world beater in his position.

"At the moment, he's a Rennes player," Barnett said. "He likes Rennes and, at the moment, we havent really taken to other clubs. It isn't our position.

"Let's see what happens later on, but he's doing well in Rennes and that's fine. Being the best midfielder in the world, that's how I see his future, [with] a lot of medals and a lot of trophies."
