Capello: Lazio keeper Provedel scored like he was Haaland

Former Roma coach Fabio Capello hailed Lazio goalkeeper Ivan Provedel after his equaliser against Atletico Madrid.

After making a late save, the goalkeeper headed home a 95th minute equaliser to earn Lazio a point from their Champions League opener.

Capello later said: "Congratulations Provedel, he saved the game with a great save and then in the end he equalised.

"Tonight I saw a Simeone who didn't put the truck in front of the goal, every time his Atletico Madrid had the ball at their feet they started again. But tonight it was the Lazio goalkeeper who stole the show.

"On the goal for 1-1 he was like (Erling) Haaland with the way he headed the ball."
