Cardiff City are cancelling the contract of striker Gary Madine by mutual consent.
The 29-year-old spent part of last season on loan at Sheffield United helping them earn promotion to the Premier League scoring three goals in 16 appearances.
He returned to Cardiff in the summer but has managed just nine appearances, the last coming in the 0-0 draw with Preston North End on December 21.
By cancelling his contract now, 6ft 3ins Madine will be able to join another club outside of the transfer window if necessary.
The 29-year-old joined the Bluebirds in January 2018 but failed to score a single goal in his two-year spell in the Welsh capital.
