Nantes striker Emiliano Sala has flown in to Cardiff to hold talks over his proposed £20million move.
He arrived in Wales at 2pm on Monday and headed to the Cardiff City stadium.
The 28-year old Argentinian has scored 13 goals this season for his club, who sit 11th in Ligue 1.
Sala has registered 48 goals in 130 games over four seasons since joining the French club in 2015.
A product of Bordeaux's youth academy, the Santa Fe-born hitman also spent time on loan at Orleans, Niort and Caen before completing the move to Nantes.
He has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs including Fulham, but it appears Cardiff lead the race.
Neil Warnock's side sit one point and one place above the Premier League drop zone after winning promotion last season.
Having managed just 19 goals in 22 games, Warnock is desperate for extra firepower to push the Bluebirds to safety.
